Archiving Health Check to raise awareness among companies

July 13, 2023

Neu-Isenburg, July 13, 2023 - To help companies ensure the best possible long-term storage of sensitive business data, archiving specialist kgs is now offering a free Archiving Health Check on its website.

The answers to a total of 12 questions, which can be answered in just a few minutes by IT administrators or archiving specialists, form the basis of a status quo analysis that kgs sends to participants in the health check as a follow-up. The check clarifies what data is involved, the extent to which SAP data records are affected, the regularity with which archiving runs are carried out, or what the current archiving landscape of a company looks like. Aspects such as the amount of data to be stored, the type of data, the previous security standard and the requirements for the scalability of the archiving system will also be addressed. Finally, an assessment of the existing archiving system is to be given - from not good to medium to very solid.

Such an analysis can be of great importance for companies right now, as the entire archiving landscape is undergoing an ever-increasing shift from on-premise to cloud solutions. In this sense, a pragmatic assessment of the current state of an archive can have a massive impact on future-proofing and operational costs.

Based on this assessment, which is determined via the kgs Archiving Health Check, kgs participants receive a professional assessment of the inventory system on the one hand, as well as a customized proposal on how to set up the archiving system in a future-proof manner on the other.
