International steel and metal distributor Klöckner relying on tia® from kgs

Challenge

Originally, Klöckner relied on OpenText archiving. When a „cloud-first“ strategy was chosen, it was the end for this technology. They started looking for a solution in which not only the archives of the 140 locations could be merged, but with which the company was also equipped for the future. 


Solution

At the DSAG annual conference, we got to know tia®, the archiving solution from kgs. As part of a smaller pro-ject in Switzerland, tia® was put through its paces and the solution was finally introduced. 


Result

The positive effects observed in the Swiss project led Klöckner to introduce the kgs solution throughout the company. Within two months, 90 million documents were migrated from the legacy systems to tia®. The transition was made fluently, so that even the important online shop had no loss of performance.
